My New Obsession With... Jessica Sutta!

It seems like Nicole Scherzinger is not the only former Pussycat Doll trying to start a successful solo career. In early 2010, Jessica Sutta announced she would be leaving the all-girl group after suffering a broken rib while on tour. The artist was quick to release a solo single soon after entitled "I Wanna Be Bad" which went unnoticed by most of the music industry and was honestly not a great track to start a career off with. In 2011. Sutta announced that she had been officially signed to Hollywood Records and was hard at work recording her debut solo effort which should be released in 2012 with a rumored title of Sutta Pop. A couple of track titles have made their way across the web, including "Jack in the Box" and "Good Boy", both of which have been performed live already.
Sutta's first taste of solo success came thanks to the first official single off her coming album. "Show Me" is a delicious club/dance track that is shooting up Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs chart, currently sitting at the second position in its tenth week, and was featured as a bonus track on the 39th edition of the US' Now That's What I Call Music. The song is evidence that the artist has an immense amount of vocal talent that was just wasted when Sutta played back up dancer in the Pussycat Dolls. The track is infectious and fun and proves that the diva can command a dance floor while crafting pop music that goes far beyond anything on the radio today. "Show Me" is an enjoyable song, one that looks like Sutta had a great time recording and it is a pleasure to see her succeed at it. Maybe it will be her breakout hit- at least I am hoping for that.
Along with the club-banging, "get up on your feet and move" dance track came the appealing music video which premiered back in August. Right off the bat the music video reminded me of Britney Spears' video for "Till the World Ends", but Sutta and the director created something that Britney's video wished it was. The four minute video showcases Sutta's beauty as she parties in an underground club just having the time of her life. The artist radiates the attitude and charisma that a true dance queen needs to have, at times giving her best Kylie Minoque impressions and hand movements. The video did not disappoint, it just amplifies what the song is really about: finding love and having a great time doing it. I have constantly pressed the play button for the track and video and I think everyone else should as well because this girl will be a star in her own right in no time!
