Posted: 20 Dec 2019 09:48 PM PST Old Fort Banking Company is pleased to announce that it has collected hundreds of items for donation to local community members in need, via the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots Foundation, and the Bank's annual Winter Weather Apparel Drive. Hosted annually during November and December, Old Fort Bank's Winter Weather Apparel Drive seeks donations of new or gently-used coats, hats, boots, scarves and gloves. This year, a grand total of 163 pairs of gloves, 129 coats, 121 hats, 29 scarves, seven pairs of boots, six pairs of socks, two pairs of snow pants and seven other items were collected. Many of the donations were made to The Free Store at High Street United Methodist Church and Caring Hands in Fostoria due to high need, however items were also distributed to Seneca County Salvation Army, Hancock County Coats for Christmas, Clyde Food Pantry, Sandusky County Share and Care and Xenia Salvation Army. In addition to the Winter Weather Apparel Drive, each Old Fort Bank financial center served as a collection site for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Each year, the foundation delivers millions of gifts to children in need during the holidays, ranging in age from newborn to 12 years old. "We'd like to thank our local community members who supported these initiatives and donated to our apparel drive, or Toys for Tots," said Old Fort Banking Company President and CEO Michael Spragg. "We are grateful for these opportunities to assist the communities we serve, and happy to help bring both warmth and joy to local families this winter and holiday season." |
The Demand for Lamar Jackson Apparel Is Insane - BaltimoreRavens.com Posted: 17 Dec 2019 10:13 AM PST Looking to be the holiday hero and deliver Lamar Jackson swag under the tree? You may be too late. The frenzy around Lamar Jackson has left his apparel just about as tough to get as Ravens tickets these days. Fans cannot get a No. 8 Jackson jersey on the Ravens' official team store delivered in time for Christmas. In fact, you can't even pre-order any sizes except for 2XL and up. (There will be a limited number of Lamar Jackson jerseys available at the team's pop-up shop at Canton Crossing, which opens Thursday.) "It's the highest demand for any single Ravens player that I've ever seen – and I've done this for the Ravens for 11 years," said Ravens Senior Director of Retail Chris Inouye. "Bigger than Joe Flacco. Bigger than Steve McNair. Flacco's rookie year is the only thing that even approaches this." The Ravens have already re-ordered shipments of several hundred Jackson jerseys three times. They just got their last shipment before the Thursday Night Football game vs. the New York Jets, so they can currently be bought at the team store in M&T Bank Stadium, but they won't last long. If you would like to buy an item straight from Jackson's own clothing line, Era 8 Apparel, you're also out of luck. Every single item on Jackson's website is sold out – even the wild dog crew socks. No word on how many pairs sock enthusiast Robert Griffin III scooped up. |
