Sometimes an autumnal walk in the country simply requires a great pair of boots, jeans and a fabulous sweater. I think I remember waxing lyrical a year ago about rediscovering my AW11 Zara sweater when I swapped over my summer and winter wardrobes, and here I am doing the same thing again this year. It must be something to do with all that different coloured yarn weaved with flecks of gold - like finding a little bit of hidden treasure in your winter clothes box.
[Now I'm comparing clothes to hidden treasure, of all things! I need help...]
The point being, when it's still mild enough to not need a jacket or scarf or mittens or any other winter accessory, it's great to have a go-to fabulous sweater that doesn't require much dressing up as it's a statement all by itself. Some coloured jeans and black riding boots (okay, and a necklace) are all it needs to make you feel like you've made a bit an effort.
If you like my Naturalizer riding boots, you may want to vote for my look as I wore them for a style challenge... you may just win a pair for yourself (see end of post), the competition is open till 30 October!
I wore the boots last week for the Naturalizer "Style At Any Age" challenge where I represented the 40-somethings - if you vote for my look (note: EVERYONE can vote!) and I win, I get free pairs of Naturalizer shoes or boots to give away on the blog. Plus if you're a US resident you will also be entered into a draw to win up to four pairs for yourself... so please get voting now!
Thank you my little lammies x
