First stop IKEA! Anyone living on an island 9 miles by 5 knows the absolute joy of arriving on the mainland and heading for a big store that we don't have. This was my first visit to the one in Rennes and I was impressed. Of course I failed at the final hurdle. Had my list of things to buy but didn't realise you had to note down which aisle etc you would find it! Oops! Thankfully a very kind gentleman took pity on us and gave us the necessary information. Oh well I will be up to speed next time.
Car suitably burdened...only day one! Journey to Cholet swift and traffic free...joy! We are off to Puy Du Fou today for a historical bonanza..hope it lives up to expectation.
